Garden Grove, CA – Assault Industries Announces Acquisition by SuperATV
SuperATV, an innovative family owned and operated company has acquired Assault Industries, Inc. Super ATV embarked on its journey from the Hunt family garage in 2004 and has grown to be an industry leader in the off-road space, producing great aftermarket products to feed an increasingly voracious enthusiast market.
Assault Industries, Inc. began at a small family-owned machine shop in Garden Grove, California back in 2013. Marcelo (CEO) and Manuel (Lead Engineer / Partner), both UTV enthusiasts, started designing parts for their own Polaris RZR UTVs in their spare time. From very simple ideas, the company grew quickly, making products for the UTV/SXS off-road Industry. Through clever marketing and a focus on the riding lifestyle, Assault Industries gained a cult following of enthusiastic patrons, eager to customize their vehicles with the latest and greatest parts.
In a statement issued on their social media, Assault Industries director of marketing said:
“We have been hard at work building Assault Industries up over the last 9 years and take a great deal of pride in where we came from. Today we embark on a new journey that is both surreal and intensely exciting! We look forward to continuing to develop awesome products that drive the off-road enthusiast community with our new broadened reach as part of the Super ATV family.”

Garden Grove, CA – Assault Industries introduces the Recon Rack for Can Am Maverick X3
The Assault Industries Recon Rack is designed to make better use of bed space on the Can-Am Maverick X3. Without any kind of rack system, the X3 bed is extremely shallow - not allowing for much storage outside of a spare tire. The Recon Rack provides walls to the space where items like tools, bags or a cooler can be placed. The precision laser cut aluminum features lots of slots to fasten cargo down with bungie cords or netting.
|
The Recon Rack comes in smaller pieces for compact, easy shelving/shipping and is simple to assemble with basic hand tools. The rack mounts to the bed of the vehicle through existing openings, so no drilling or modification is required. The durable black powder coated finish will withstand the elements and look great against the OE black plastics of the vehicle but if you want a little sparkle, customizable logo plates are also available to match your vehicle theme. The Recon Rack is available now with a retail price of $329.99.

1. Weight - Yes, It is heavy. So are all electric vehicles - regardless of weight, motors and batteries are mounted at the lowest point in the vehicle and thus it enjoys a very low center of gravity which makes it feel more planted through turns and almost impossible to roll.
2. Price - Yes, It is expensive. When Tesla came out with the original roadster it was what most considered impractical and expensive. The purpose of creating such a vehicle was to launch the brand and demonstrate their technologies to generate interest and funding for bigger and better projects. Over 10 years later there are more than 500,000 Tesla EVs on the road worldwide and growing every day. The price point on this vehicle is high because the initial units are limited. Possibly in the low 1000's. Future vehicles that come from this technology will be less expensive, but it has to start somewhere.
3. The concept was initially thought to be a UTV. The final is not. The open and closed cabin variants are considered OHV's, not UTV's. They will be road legal in the 17 states where UTV's and OHV's are allowed on public roads. Turn signals are already integrated into the head and tail lights as standard.
4. Range Anxiety - Yea, if you're use to just fueling up and going out, this will be an adjustment for you. There is good news though! They will have Nikola charging stations installed at popular riding spots similar to what Tesla does with their super charging stations.
Regardless of your opinion, the offroad enthusiast industry is huge right now and companies like Nikola taking interest will only be beneficial in the long term. Also this vehicle will not be available until around 2021 so there is plenty of time to improve and refine every aspect of the vehicle line up.

The Assault Industries radius rod double shear bracket kit resolves what has become a common problem for all Can Am Maverick X3 models. The premature wear of the center radius rod hole on the knuckle can cause undesirable behavior while driving. The hole can become oblong in shape, altering the toe angle which can lead to the dragging of the rear wheels, excessive tire wear, damage to other components or the total shearing off of the bolt. A sheared bolt can allow full toe angle articulation of the affected wheel(s) - this can make the vehicle impossible to control and very dangerous.
The double shear bracket mounts directly to the knuckle over the center radius rod connection point and places the rod in double shear, shielding it from any connection with the soft aluminum knuckle.
